The Grade 4 Belt from Academy is a 20-inch bike specially designed for children. In collaboration with the German Institute of Orthopedics and Sports in Bielefeld, Academy set out to create a children's bike that is as light and high-quality as possible, perfectly suited for kids. Ergonomics and weight played a decisive role here.

Weight is a crucial factor, especially for children who want to learn to ride a bike. The Grade 4 Belt from Academy weighs only 7.5 kg and is among the lightest children's bikes on the market. Thanks to its low weight, the Academy Grade is more maneuverable in turns and allows young cyclists to accelerate and climb hills more easily. With a lightweight bike, kids also don't need much strength to move the bike forward.
The low frame entry height allows children to mount easily. The patented Vario stem grows in height and length and can be continuously adjusted, allowing the bike to be optimally adapted to the seating position. The Q-factor reflects the cyclist's pedaling movement. For children, it is particularly important to have a low Q-factor so that pedaling is optimally adapted for them.

All Academy items are 80% pre-assembled. The front wheel, pedals, handlebars, and saddle need to be assembled. We recommend checking and adjusting the brakes before use.
