Rosszabb, mint egy szintetikus alsó réteg. Rosszabb, mert a gyapjú még a pamutnál is több nedvességet képes magába szívni. Az egy dolog, hogy (állítólag) nedvesen is kellemes viselet a gyapjú... de az alsó rétegnek az izzadság elvezetése lenne a feladata, és erre a gyapjú szövet alkalmatlan.
