Venduto e spedito da vendore terzo: Sport & Go
The Premiere Lorient Lacque is a snaffle bridle in soft, supple leather with an anatomical cut and a noseband in patent leather. The anti-slip reins with hand stops are included. Intended for riders looking for a smart, glossy bridle in which the fit around the ears and the jaw was given as much attention as the appearance.
About this bridle
The Lorient Lacque is about two things: a bridle that sits neatly around the head, and a finish that stands out without becoming too much. The headpiece is cut back at ear level and has a medium-soft lining. That keeps the base of the ears free and lets the bridle rest on a broader surface instead of on a narrow line.
The noseband is cut back at jaw level and has a rounded, domed lining, together with a wide chin pad. Rounded and domed means the leather is finished with a curve: what lies against the head is a rounded surface rather than a straight edge. Exactly which noseband type this model is does not appear in the available product information.
The shine comes from the patent leather used on the noseband. The browband is slightly curved and inlaid with a silver chain and Basil Jet imitation diamonds in a silver cup setting. That gives a fine sparkle in the arena, without the browband looking heavy or overloaded. A slight curve in the browband also gives a little more room around the ears than a perfectly straight band.
The rest of the bridle is made in soft, supple leather. That is pleasant in the hand from the start and asks for little breaking in. Soft leather does need some regularity in its care: keep it clean and feed it in time, and it stays supple instead of drying out.
The anti-slip reins with hand stops are included. The hand stops are the small crosswise leather ridges on the rein: they give your hand a fixed reference, even when it rains or when your horse takes a pull. That makes this set complete straight away.
