How our rental service works
- 1. Select your product: Find the product you’d like to rent online or at the store of your choice.
- 2. Choose your rental: We offer convenient rental plans with a fixed 3-month starting period that can be extended for as long as you need.
- 3. Collect at the store: Pick up your rental at a selected Decathlon store and enjoy the product for as long as you need it.
- 4. Return the product: Drop it off at any Decathlon store when you’re done. That easy!

How our rental service works ?

- 𝟯 | Collect your product in-store… and off you go on your adventure!
- 𝟰 | Return the product: simply bring it back to any Decathlon store at the end of your rental period. It’s that easy!

FAQ - Subscription rental offers
Currently, this service covers kids' bikes, adult bikes and a selection of fitness machines. We are working to include other sports.
Go to your favourite Decathlon store and choose your product. A teammate will help you activate the subscription. You need: a Decathlon account, a Visa or MasterCard, and a smartphone with internet connection.
The first payment is made in-store with a teammate. You will receive an SMS to validate the offer and terms. Then, via a link, you will enter your card details for this first payment and future monthly instalments. No deposit is required.
Yes, we use 3D Secure authentication for Visa and Mastercard to prevent fraud. Your payments are completely secure.
After the minimum commitment period, you can cancel at any time by returning the product to the store (no online cancellation). The return must be made before your monthly renewal date to avoid being charged for the following month. Your payments must be up to date.
Our products are guaranteed to be in good working order. Normal wear and tear and accidental damage are included. However, for any damage resulting from misuse, negligence, or vandalism, you will need to pay for the repair or replacement before closing the contract.
In the event of theft, reporting it to the authorities is mandatory. You will have to pay 100% of the product price (if subscription < 12 months) or 80% (if > 12 months). Remember to check your personal liability insurance, it might cover the loss.
FAQ - Short term rental offers
Our rates include insurance for breakage and accidents. However, you are responsible in the event of theft or loss of the product, regardless of the reason. You therefore agree to pay Decathlon the price of the product as new.
The rental does not cover loss or theft. In this case, you will be liable to reimburse the full new value of the product.
We trust you! No deposit is required for your rental.
Yes, a Decathlon account is mandatory. Your ID will be registered on your customer profile.
Equipment must be returned clean, in good condition and on the scheduled date. A fee of CHF 15 will be charged for items returned dirty or with missing barcodes. Any delay will be charged as an extra rental day (daily rentals) or a full month due (rentals > 3 months).
You can change the size of your product during the season if it no longer fits. A price adjustment may be requested if you change range.
Refunds are only possible with a medical certificate (unfitness for sport), presented within 21 days of the start of the contract. After this period, it is not possible. You will need to provide your rental contract and customer number.
