B’TWIN products are first tested in our lab in Lille before they’re taken to face the real world terrain and conditions of the outdoors.
Quality and longevity tests
To test the quality of our bikes, we attach them to machines that can recreate conditions of stress over long periods of time. For example, to test the quality of a bike’s forks, we put it through the same compression movement 150,000 times.
Tested and EN-71 approved
After intensive lab testing, we test our B’TWIN kids’ bikes with children and their parents in the real environments of play. All of our kids’ bikes pass EN-71 toy safety standards.
EN-71 is a safety standard applied to toys, products and materials designed or intended for children of less than 14 years to use in play.

Your warranty
If the bike has been used in the way it was intended with no abnormal usage, repairs may be covered by the warranty, which lasts two years. You can find the full warranty in our Bike User Guide:

Before the first ride
It's important to adjust the height of the saddle and handlebar to suit the child. The minimum insertion mark on the seat post and handlebar should never be visible for safety reasons (ensure this mark is never exceeded).
To check the correct saddle height, when sitting on the saddle, both of the child's forefeet should be touching the ground.
Correctly adjusted, this should allow the child to easily get on and off their bike, and prevent their knees from rising too high when pedalling.

Keeping the bike clean
If the bike gets dirty after a few rides (mud, rain, dust, etc.), give it a good clean. If there is dust: simply use a dry cloth to clean it. If there is more persistent mud or other dirt, you can clean it with a bucket of hot water and a sponge or wet cloth, with soap or bike shampoo. You can then clean the dirty parts of the bike (frame, fork, handlebar, wheels). Avoid spraying the bike with a hose: some components won't take it kindly! When finished, wipe it dry with a cloth to prevent rust.

The best way to store the bike
Make sure to store the bike in a clean and dry place, ideally in a covered environment protected from the weather.
