Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont Blanc in Haute-Savoie. This location means we can test our products on a wealth of varied and demanding terrain.
Tested to last
Our Decathlon Sportslab laboratory, based in Lille, also contributes to the innovation and development of our Quechua products. It brings together 4 themes, each with their own area and technological tools: body shape (from 3D analysis), movement science, thermal comfort, and behavioural and sensory sciences. We also test the seams, glueing, toxicology, resistance to UV and abrasion resistance.

Thermal testing
We perform comparative studies carried out in a thermal laboratory, in walking conditions in light winds (5km/h). The comfort temperature means you’ll likely feel slightly cold and 70% of users find the thermal sensation acceptable for their feet. The limit temperature indicates you’ll likely feel very cold, with only 10% of users considering the thermal sensation acceptable for their feet.
Remember, though, each individual feels the cold differently.

2-year warranty
