Design and Materials
The Petzl ATTACHE BAR carabiner is made of aluminium with a removable polyamide bar, offering an excellent balance between lightness (63 g) and robustness. Its pear shape and H profile optimize load distribution while minimizing overall weight.
Safety and Locking
Equipped with a SCREW-LOCK locking ring and a visual indicator, the carabiner allows for quick verification of proper closure. The design prevents the BAR from closing if the ring is not fully locked, reducing the risk of handling errors.
Unidirectional Functionality with the BAR
With the removable BAR, the ATTACHE becomes a unidirectional carabiner that promotes loading along the major axis, enhancing comfort during belaying and glacier roping. When the BAR is closed, the ring cannot accidentally unlock.
Ergonomics and Handling
