Program and exercises
The J-Band Junior is intended for use as part of the Jaeger Sports Arm Care program and the Throwing Program. The band enables a routine of 11 exercises (overhead extensions, lateral and diagonal extensions, forward and reverse flies, internal and external rotations at different levels, reverse throw and forward throwing motion) to improve shoulder balance, strength, and conditioning.
Injury prevention and recovery
Through specific and repeated exercises, the J-Band helps reduce the risk of throwing-related injuries by strengthening the rotator cuff and surrounding muscles. It also helps improve recovery after exertion and the muscular endurance needed to support regular play.
Design and youth-appropriate use
The Junior version offers reduced tension suitable for athletes aged 13 and under. The elastic band is designed for repeated sets (for example 25 repetitions per exercise) and safe use when used according to instructions and training precautions.
Safety and training recommendations
J-Bands exercises should ideally be performed before throwing (or 3 to 5 days per week if the player is not competing). Always check the position of the retention clip to avoid contact with the neck, face or head. Do not extend the band beyond the recommendations (12 to 24 inches) and use the J-Band only for the exercises for which it was designed.
