Koo Open goggles have been designed by the Kask helmet brand to fit helmets perfectly. High-quality, functional, safe and comfortable. Not all goggles fit all helmets, as we sometimes found with our usual goggles when testing certain helmets. The position of the tightening straps, the occipital support frame or the return of the shell behind the ears can sometimes interfere with the placement of the eyewear temples. To solve this problem, Kask, one of the most emblematic brands of the moment (which equips Team Ineos) has designed its own goggles with the Koo Open. Available in no fewer than 12 colors, they come with two interchangeable Zeiss lenses (a guarantee of quality) in the box. The first protects against UV rays, while offering excellent clarity, especially in the shade. The second is transparent, and can be worn for night-time outings or in very poor weather conditions, such as this winter. Note the importance of European-standard sports eyewear lenses, which not only protect the eyes from UV rays, but also protect in the event of a fall by bending rather than breaking like glass. And to think that some people still take risks with counterfeits, of which there are many in this field, and which of course do not comply with any standards! The KOO Open also comes with two interchangeable nose-rests, each of which can be placed in two positions. The lenses are relatively easy to change, even if you first have to understand the mechanics of the fastening system. Rotating system:
The special feature of KOO Open is the rotating system for folding the temples, which has the advantage of allowing the position of the glasses on the face to be adjusted to suit different conditions. For example, to prevent sweat from beading up on the inside of the lenses, or to avoid fogging up, simply move the lenses away from the eyes a little, thanks to the tilting movement of the rotating temples.
The temples are comfortable to wear, and make the glasses relatively easy to stow away in a pocket when riding. The lenses cover the eyes well, protecting against UV rays as well as splashes and other dirt. Vision is not obstructed, with only the bottom of the frame remaining slightly visible.
