Professional use and versatility
The Beal CONTRACT 10.5 mm rope is designed for height work, industrial interventions, and mountain activities requiring a static rope. Its type A certification and mechanical characteristics make it a universal work rope suitable for professionals.
Construction and materials
Made of polyamide with a sheath/core ratio of 39/61, this rope combines strength and maneuverability. The sheath protects the core while maintaining good grip and controlled wear.
Mechanical performance
With a breaking strength of 2700 daN (27 kN), a knot strength of 1600 daN, and more than 5 falls (factor 1), the CONTRACT offers reliable performance for demanding uses. Its low static elongation (2.9%) limits unwanted movements under load.
Maneuverability and weight
A weight of 66 g/m makes the rope easy to handle and reduces fatigue during long workdays or climbs. The diameter of 10.5 mm ensures a good balance between grip and compactness.
Maintenance and initial behavior
Before first use, it is recommended to dampen and then let the rope dry slowly to allow for slight dimensional shrinkage (about 3-5%). This initial care optimizes the grip and effective length during professional use.
