Repairing a snag or hole in your sleeping bag
On a trek, you can snag a sleeping bag, it happens! The good news is that it can be repaired to prevent the tear from getting bigger or the synthetic fibres from escaping.
To do this, we recommend that you use self-adhesive repair patches.
If you don’t feel comfortable doing this yourself then a heat-bonded patching service is available at the workshop of your Decathlon store.
Everything you need to know

Our trekking equipment is developed using a combination of laboratory expertise and real-world testing in the mountains.
Tested in the French Alps
We tested the MT900 5°C down sleeping bag by giving it to two teams of independent adventurers. They took it with them on a trekking trip through the French Alps in spring, during which they bivouacked comfortably at night.

Tested for durability
The outer material is made from 100% polyamide in 10 denier (weighing 20g/m2) and a 30 denier ripstop fabric. This canvas can withstand up to 80,000 abrasion cycles.
Robustness is calculated using the Martindale test (Standard 12 947-2). This test involves rubbing the bag material against another material to assess the product's abrasion resistance.
