The Effol Kids Star-Shine is a glitter spray for coat, mane and tail, intended for children from 6 years. You spray the shimmer onto the pony or horse before a show, a photo session or simply for fun. At Maddelin you choose between Pink, which Effol calls the silver glitter with a raspberry scent, and Gold, with a fruity, fresh scent.
About this glitter spray
The Kids Star-Shine belongs to the Pferdefreunde world of Coppenrath and Die Spiegelburg, and Effol developed it expressly for children from 6 years. For the silver version Effol speaks of a long-adhering formula that stays in place even during movement, which makes the spray suitable for shows, photo shoots and festive rides.
Mind the variant names. What we call Pink is the silver shimmer at Effol: the bottle is pink and the liquid red-violet, but the glitter itself is silver, with a raspberry scent. The Gold variant gives a gold shimmer with fine glitter particles for coat and mane and has a fruity, fresh scent. For the gold version Effol writes that the spray dries and then brushes out without trouble, and asks you to shake the bottle well before use.
About the glitter itself Effol states that the particles consist of mineral substances, without microplastics. That is the brand's own statement; the ingredient list backs it up in part, since it names mica, titanium dioxide, tin oxide and, in the gold version, calcium aluminium borosilicate. Alongside water and glycerine the spray also contains alcohol denat. and denatonium benzoate, a bittering substance. The label carries the statement EUH208: the product may cause an allergic reaction. The full lists are in the technical features.
Effol additionally provides free stencils as pdf files to spray through, so you can put shapes on the coat. If you want shine without glitter, that sits elsewhere in the Effol range at Maddelin.
