The BR Martin men's riding breeches are four-way stretch breeches available in two versions: Knee Grip with silicone knee patches, or Full Grip with a full silicone seat. They combine a smart, sporty line with generous pocket space and an elastic waistband, and are made for riders who train hard and also hack out at a relaxed pace.
About these breeches
The Martin is BR's men's model with an understated, timeless look. The cut is sporty and neat: close enough to look smart, roomy enough to wear comfortably all day. The four-way stretch fabric is what makes that possible. Four-way stretch means the fabric gives both lengthwise and widthwise, so the breeches sit close without pulling anywhere, whether you are mounting, bringing your leg back or moving into a light seat.
You choose the finish yourself. In the Knee Grip version the silicone sits on the knee only: that gives subtle support for an independent seat and leaves the seat free, so you can slide easily in the saddle. In the Full Grip version the entire seat is covered in silicone, which gives maximum stability in a full seat. Both versions feature silicone grip in the BR pattern with logo. Which one you pick depends on how you ride, not on which is better.
The pocket layout is comprehensive. On the right front there is a deep phone pocket that keeps your phone securely in place. Alongside it you get two slash pockets at the front and two flap pockets at the back with a hidden press stud. That concealed fastening is a deliberate choice: no visible buttons pressing against the saddle or rubbing off, and still a pocket that stays shut.
The elastic waistband with belt loops provides a comfortable, close fit and lets you wear a belt. Because the waistband gives, the breeches stay in place without pinching at the sides, even when you are getting on and off a lot.
The breeches come in Black and Navy, two colours that stay looking neat through training and stable work, and in a wide size range from XXS to XXXL.
