Preserve the waterproofing
To restore your coat’s water repellency, we recommend applying a waterproofing treatment after each wash. This is simple to do with a spray, or by adding a waterproofing liquid directly to the wash cycle.

Quechua jackets are developed in our design centre in Passy, near Mont Blanc. Outside the lab are the perfect conditions for rigorous field testing!
Thermal testing
With a double layer of insulation and quilted zip flap, this jacket has been developed for intense wintry conditions. We tested it in the laboratory where, in temperatures of -23°C, 70% of kids continued to feel comfortable.
Waterproof testing
Water tests have two parts: first, we conduct a shower test in our laboratory, simulating different types of rain. Afterwards, we asked a panel of young testers to try the new coat in rainy conditions. These tests enable us to certify the coat against 5,000mm of rain - which is about 12cm in 2 hours.

Durability tests
Inside the lab, we put the coat through additional tests: repeated abrasion, UV exposure, and many cycles of washing. These guarantee that your coat will last well and carry on looking good.
