Design details

Can the MH500 rooftop tent be used with roof bars?
Compatible with approved roof bars for a load greater than 75 kg (dynamic weight). Habitable width 78 cm. The distance between the roof and the top of the roof bar must be greater than 7.5 cm and the width of the roof bar tube must be less than 9.5 cm (see diagrams in product datasheet photos). Check that your roof bars and tent are properly fastened each time you use it. It’s not compatible with longitudinal roof bars.
What do dynamic load and static load refer to?
This tent needs a 75 kg load capacity, a so-called "dynamic" load, i.e. when the vehicle is moving. When the vehicle is stationary, the maximum static load capacity is much higher. No need to worry: once pitched and secured, your roof bars will be able to support the roof tent, as well as the weight of the people inside (200 kg in total).
How do you pitch and dismantle the MH500 rooftop tent?
Watch the pitching tutorial video and/or read the instructions in the product bag carefully. Remove the cover and unclip the two side buckles. Grab the ladder and use it to tilt the tent. Adjust the ladder so that the tent is flat, and properly secure the bars, so that they are locked in place before you can stand on them. To dismantle, use the ladder to fold up the tent, close the side buckles and put the cover back on.
What does the MH500 rooftop tent contain?
- 1 tent (bedroom + fly sheet) - 1 waterproof cover - 1 integrated foam mattress - 1 aluminium ladder measuring 2.5 m max. when unfolded - 1 screw kit (4 plates + screws and washers) - 1 shoe pocket - 1 attachment strap for accessories (located in the shoe pocket)

What are the usage and safety restrictions? Please make sure you keep the instructions handy!
NEVER GET INTO THE TENT IF THE LADDER BARS ARE NOT LOCKED IN PLACE. FALL HAZARD. (see instructions) Do not use the ladder for anything other than its intended purpose. Do not drive with the tent open. Do not pitch it facing the wind. Always pitch it on a flat surface for stability. Do not drive if the edge of the cover is not inside the front rail. Do not use any accessories other than those supplied. Not suitable for vehicles with a glass roof.
