What does this kit contain?
The kit includes: - the backpack - the kayak - the seat - a backrest - the foot bar - a rudder kit - a repair cloth - instructions for use. It does not include a skirt. The kayak is compatible with the spray deck code: 8801423. It does not contain the trolley with which it is compatible, if you want to transform your bag into a trolley rather than carrying it: 8841214

The manoeuvrability and comfort of a 5-metre kayak.
We felt it was important to upgrade the 500 range so that you can kayak for longer distances. You will no longer have to worry about positioning, as the seat has been improved to facilitate reclining, and the backrest also acts as a hip support. Finally, knee supports have been added to the X900Si kayak If leaning is not enough, the foot bar is connected to a rudder, making it easier to change direction or stay on course in strong winds.
How to inflate and mount the kayak?
1. Inflate the main chamber (bottom), then the middle chambers. All the volumes are inflated to 10 PSI max (0.7 bar). 2. You can insert the foot bar onto the soft guides, push it to the setting that will satisfy you, adjust to your leg length with the buckle. 3. Position the seat by inserting it into the soft guides until it stops. 4. Insert the rudder and stretch the cables to the foot bar. Then tie knots at the foot bar pedals.
How to disassemble and deflate the kayak?
1. Make sure that the folding surface and the kayak (inside/outside) are clean 2. Remove the seat 3. Remove the footrests 4. Remove the rudder. 5. Deflate the kayak by removing the plugs and pressing on the valves (leave the valves in the open position so that the air can escape)
How to fold up the kayak to put it in the bag?
1. We recommend placing the canvas of the bridge inside the fold. 2. Fold the walls into the centre of the kayak, and leave the floor flat. 3. Starting at the bow, follow the instructions in the manual. 4. Leave the valve in the open position for air to escape. 5. Finishing step: strap the kayak (strapping it up well makes it easier to put it in the bag)
What if the kayak is pierced?
It would take something sharp for this to happen, so take care during use and when boarding. If so, the kayak is composed of 5 independent “air chambers”. 1 or 2 of punctures? The kayak floats enough to make it back to the shore safely. To preserve the life expectancy of your kayak, we advise you to avoid contact with oyster shells and sharp reefs. Directions for use
To extend the life of the kayak, it is best not to suck the air out with a pump when deflating. We recommend that you use the product with a buoyancy vest.
Which regulations apply to kayaks > 3.50 metres?
Your canoe/kayak is rigid or inflatable with at least 2 separate air chambers. It measures more than 3.50 metres. It is approved for sea use by the manufacturer. You can then go further than 300 metres and up to 6 nautical miles from shelter. You must carry a number of items of safety equipment. What is it made of?
Dropstitch is a weave of polyester fibres sandwiched between 2 layers of PVC. When inflated to high pressure, the threads are stretched and the construction becomes very strong, thus avoiding any deformation. This is what makes our inflatable kayak extremely rigid but easy to stow in a backpack once deflated. The kayak X900 is made of reinforced Dropstitch (double thickness) for greater strength and rigidity.
A small adjustment for great comfort on board.
If you are less than 1.75m tall, the kayak’s rudder adjustment may not be ideal. No need to worry: you just need to adjust the cables a little for smooth steering. Here’s how to adjust it: 1. Make a 2nd loop on each cable, ~5 cm from the first. 2. Pass the rudder through these loops without cutting the cables. 3. Test and adjust until you have good control. 4. (Optional) Trim the excess and burn the ends to prevent fraying.
