Design details

Full protection, zero restriction
This short impact vest and buoyancy aid can be used with a harness. This protection is designed to be as discreet as possible. It is designed to be easy to put on over the head while wearing a helmet. The seams, 9 separate pieces of foam and the armholes allow the vest to adapt to your body shape. What’s more, the ultra-stretch 1.7mm neoprene provides great flexibility and follows your movements.
Easy on/off
The short impact vest is easy to put on and take off using the side zip. Its location on the side frees up your movements and prevents damage to your board when you climb onto it. What is more, there is a neoprene flap with rip-tab at the top of the zip slider to secure it and prevent it coming into contact with your arms. An adjustable side buckle at the waist ensures your impact vest stays securely in place throughout your session.
Sizing guide
An impact vest should be snug fit, as neoprene tends to give slightly once in the water. For a men’s short vest in size XS: Chest circumference 82-87 cm 40 < 50 kg For a men’s short vest in size S: Chest circumference 88-93 cm 40 < 60 kg For a men’s short vest in size M: Chest circumference 94-99 cm 50 < 70 kg For a men’s short vest in size L: Chest circumference 100 - 109 cm 60 < 90 kg For a men’s long vest in size XL: Chest circumference 110 - 124 cm 80 < 120 kg
Pocket
Handy! The short impact vest and buoyancy aid has a zipped pocket measuring around 20x20 cm (varies slightly depending on the size) for storing a waterproof pouch, for example. Water evacuation is provided, but the pocket is not waterproof. An elasticated loop inside the pocket can be used to secure items (waterproof pouch, key, etc.).
Protection and lightness
For optimal ergonomics, the thickness of the foam layer varies between 20 and 28mm depending on the sensitivity of each zone and the movements of the body. The multi-foam construction sandwiched with 1 layer of neoprene and 1 layer of elastane is comfortable, lightweight, and makes it feel like a “second skin”. Short vest weight when dry (+/- 5%): in size XS: 480 g in size S: 500 g in size M: 540 g in size L: 580g in size XL: 620 g
Standard
This impact vest and buoyancy aid allows you to practise your water sports safely (dinghy sailing, wingfoil, kitesurfing). It has been tested and certified for shock and impact protection. This vest is also a buoyancy aid certified to ISO 12402-5-50 newtons.
