Since inventing the 2-second system 15 years ago, we’ve continued to innovate, bringing you models each year with cool new features.
Our Fresh & Black technology combines a ventilation system with a flysheet that blocks out 99% of the light, giving you a comfy and undisturbed sleep.
To test our tents, we put them through their paces in our laboratory before taking them into the field to face the elements along the foothills of Mont Blanc.
It takes on average 18 months to develop a product from the design stage to being market ready. During this time, it’s crushed, twisted, soaked and blasted with air in our laboratory before being handed to our field test engineers to see how it holds up in real-world conditions. It’s this two-tiered system that gives Quechua products their remarkable quality.
For example, to test our tents’ waterproofing, we place them underneath a 200 L/h shower for three hours in our lab.
To test our Fresh & Black technology, we use light, temperature and airflow sensors combined with data gathered by our field test engineers.
