At Quechua, our teams design, make, and test your boots to ensure they’re ready for the mountains.
Exacting in-house testing
Our engineers carry out laboratory tests to guarantee that each product meets your expectations and provides lasting satisfaction and support. These checks include testing the strength of eyelets and straps, adhesion quality, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of both outsole and upper components, as well as accelerated ageing.

Decathlon Sportslab R&D
Based in Lille, the Decathlon Sportslab laboratory contributes to the innovation and development of Quechua products. It combines four specialist areas, each equipped with its own advanced technologies:
Improved at every step
At every stage of development, your new boots are tested and improved. Our field test engineer, product manager, and a panel of testers all use and evaluate the products throughout the entire cycle—right up until they’re ready for you.
