The Effeto Mariposa Carbocut replacement blade is a tungsten carbide blade for Carbocut hacksaws. It fits any 10" hacksaw. Sold in packs of 5. Tungsten carbide (WC) blades have thousands of cutting edges, and their cutting action is closer to grinding than the tearing action of toothed blades, reducing the risk of fiber separation from the matrix. The Carbocut blade cuts on both the push and pull motions, allowing for better control and less vibration. At 19 mm high, the blade itself acts as a guide for accurate cuts. IMPORTANT: Because this blade is 1.6 mm thick (instead of 0.9 mm for a standard blade), spacers (washers) may be required when using it with certain cutting jigs.
