Optimum Nutrition's 100% Casein Gold protein is the most beneficial delayed release protein. If whey protein is desirable just before and just after exercise, 100% Casein Gold protein is desirable for the rest of the day. A slowly assimilated protein will be very important for the athlete as it can provide anabolic coverage over the entire night. What is at the origin of this more or less rapid assimilation is the choice of the protein.
