The Edelrid Shield II climbing helmet protects the head on crag and mountain. It is set to the head circumference before setting off, chinstrap included, so it stays put in a fall. The In-Mold build pairs a thin shell with an expanded liner. The vents release heat. The shell also covers the sides and the back.
The rear dial sets the head circumference. It is replaced after a significant impact, even with no visible damage to the shell. Storing it away from knocks avoids hidden cracks in the shell.
