Ready for the next adventure: the Katla MIPS helmet is inspired by the breathtaking landscapes that gave its name to the Icelandic volcano Katla. It is the largest helmet in our range, designed for the biggest thrill-seekers: mountain bikers! To be well protected on your mountain bike (electric), you must always wear a helmet, without exception. The Katla MIPS is made from a combination of a light molded plastic micro-shell and a thin EPS inner shell, and is also equipped with the MIPS system. What is MIPS? The MIPS technology allows the shell of the helmet to move relative to the head in the event of an oblique impact. This protects your brain from rotational forces and serious injuries. Thanks to the Fidlock magnetic closure with padding, the helmet can be opened and closed with one hand, without the risk of getting caught. The integrated TriVider, an extra-wide strap separator, ensures high comfort and an individual fit. Speaking of fit: thanks to the XY Sizer (adjustment knob) at the back of the helmet, the Katla MIPS can be individually adjusted in height and width. The cooling padding inside the helmet has an anti-sweat effect and is washable and replaceable. With its visor made from recycled marine plastic and its integrated mosquito net, the Katla MIPS is the ideal companion for outdoor activities. The straps made from recycled PET bottles are reflective and offer better visibility.
