The Nitecore HC70 UHE headlamp has a maximum output of 1600 lumens from the 4 single-core UHE LEDs and 1 dual-core UHE LED and is powered by an included 21700 li-ion battery.
Short for Ultra High Efficiency, the UHE is the result of NiteLab’s pioneering development in LEDs and is specifically designed for high performance gear. It delivers enhanced efficiency per watt, offering a brighter, more energy efficient and long lasting output.
The headlamp is rechargeable via USB-C and features a power indicator built into the face of the light:
4 LEDs means the battery is between 75% and 100%
3 LEDs between 50% and 75%
2 LEDs between 25% and 50%
1 LED between 0% and 25% - please recharge or replace the battery promptly
The matrix-design 6-core UHE optics provide bright, wide-range lighting with an angle over 100⁰, making it ideal for patrolling, night working, search and rescue and outdoor sports. In addition to the primary white light, the HC70 UHE has an auxiliary red light to preserve night vision and for emergency use. It is operated by a dual button interface for smooth, one-handed use.
The skin-friendly, lightweight headband has a widened, hollow design with reflective strips for increased visibility and safety. The headlamp sits in a quick-release bracket which has a 180⁰ adjustable angle to ensure the light is aimed as required.

Advanced temperature regulation (ATR) regulates the output of the HC70 UHE according to the working and ambient temperature to maintain optimal performance while preventing the LED from overheating. The outputs are measured in total of runtime, including output at reduced levels due to temperature or protection mechanisms in the design, causing the brightness level to drop down.
Maximum beam distance 156 meters, waterproof to IP68 and resistant to impacts up to 1.5 meters.
