It is important to us to explain openly what this set can do – and where the differences lie compared to a much more expensive, specialized pump foil.
The Foil
The foil was primarily developed for wing foiling, but it can also be used for dock starts and pump foiling.
We wanted to know exactly how well it performs in practice for pump foiling. That’s why we had the foil tested by an experienced pump foiler and compared it with specialized, significantly more expensive pump foils.
Our Conclusion: Pump Foiling Works – With Limitations
The foil gets up to speed well, can be pumped smoothly, and allows you to develop a good pumping rhythm.
In direct comparison, however, it requires more effort to pump than a specialized high-performance pump foil. If you want to pump as efficiently as possible and for very long periods at a time, you will be better served by a dedicated performance foil.
This is also where the advantage of this set lies: You can get into pump foiling at a comparatively low price while also getting a foil that is very well suited for wing foiling.
The Board
The compact board was specifically developed for pump foiling and dock starts. Its compact shape reduces unnecessary volume and weight, giving you a direct feeling over the foil.
This is a major advantage when pumping: Your movements are transferred directly to the foil, allowing you to develop your pumping rhythm more precisely.
The compact shape also makes handling during the start easier. Whether from a pier, dock, or suitable platform – the board is designed to get onto the foil as quickly as possible and then continue pumping efficiently.
Thanks to its robust construction, the board is also very well suited for beginners and regular training. Especially during your first dock starts, failed attempts and occasional contact with the water are simply part of the learning process.

If your main goal is exclusively pump foiling and you want to achieve long, efficient runs of several minutes as quickly as possible, we recommend a specialized high-performance pump foil.
It is significantly more expensive, but also offers greater efficiency for pure pump foiling.
