The new Shimano Ultegra PD-R8000 +4 mm pedals still have a carbon composite body and a slightly larger footprint to improve power transmission. At 248 grams, the pair weighs only about 20 grams more than a pair of Dura-Ace R9000.The Shimano axle is extended by 4 mm between the crank and the foot.
