The Thule Epos 3 - 979 is a modern, versatile, and exceptionally user-friendly bike carrier designed for the safe transport of up to 3 bicycles. For 3 bicycles with a total payload of 60 kg
The Thule Epos 3 accommodates up to 3 bicycles and features a maximum load capacity of 30 kg per bike, making it suitable for transporting heavy e-bikes. With a wheel tray spacing of 250 mm and a maximum wheelbase of 1350 mm, it is also suitable for bicycles with large frames and wide tires up to 76 mm (3 inches). With optional accessories, even fat bikes with tire widths up to 4.7 inches can be transported. The frame holders are designed for frame diameters from 22–90 mm and are also suitable for carbon frames.
Innovative mounting and easy handling
The patented extendable bike arms with pivoting attachment heads and steel-reinforced straps provide secure attachment to the bicycle frame or rear wheel – fast, stable, and gentle on the bike. The wheels are secured using quick-release ratchet straps that prevent movement during transport. The carrier is supplied pre-assembled and is ready for use in just a few simple steps. Both the carrier and the bicycles can be locked to provide effective theft protection.
Convenient access to the trunk
A practical foot-operated tilt mechanism allows easy access to the trunk, even when the bicycles are mounted. Without bicycles, the trunk can be opened without tilting the carrier. On vehicles with particularly large tailgates, trunk access may be limited.
Foldable and easy to transport
The Thule Epos 3 is fully foldable, allowing for space-saving storage in the trunk, garage, or basement. Integrated transport wheels and a carrying handle ensure comfortable and ergonomic handling.
Robust construction and high compatibility
Made from high-quality ABS plastic and metal components, the carrier offers excellent stability and durability. It is also suitable for vehicles with a rear-mounted spare wheel and accommodates a wide range of bicycle types. Optional accessories such as loading ramps, storage bags, and repair holders are available separately.
