The Edelrid Jay IV climbing harness ties the climber to the rope. The adjustment is checked before each outing, waistbelt first and then the leg loops, over the clothing worn that day. The ergonomic build follows the body in motion. The three-dimensional padding follows the hips. The padding lets air through during effort.
An inner webbing recentres the belay loop. The gear loops take quickdraws and cams. The harness is checked before every use and replaced as soon as any webbing shows marked wear.
