Weight is a decisive factor, especially for children who want to learn to ride a bike. The Grade 5 from Academy weighs only 8.2 kg and is among the lightest children's bikes on the market. Thanks to its low weight, the Academy Grade is more maneuverable in turns and allows young cyclists to accelerate and climb hills more easily. With a lightweight bike, kids also don't need much strength to get the bike moving.
The low frame entry height allows children to get on easily. The patented Vario stem grows in height and length and can be continuously adjusted, allowing the bike to be optimally adapted to the seating position. All Academy items are pre-assembled to 80%. The front wheel, pedals, handlebars, and saddle need to be assembled. We recommend checking and adjusting the brakes again before use.
