MATRYX®: A HIGH-END MATERIAL DELIVERING PERFORMANCE AND HIGH QUALITY
In trail running races, every gram matters.That's why we teamed up with Matryx® and its patented fabric so highly reputed in the trail running world.Manufactured in the Rhône-Alpes region of France, the Matryx® fabric of our RACE LIGHT running shoes is made from high tenacity polyester coated with polyurethane, procuring high resistance to tears and abrasions, as well as excellent breathability.We chose to add an aramid fibre yarn to the weave for even more support.
ANATOMY OF A WELL-HONED SHOE
To make these trail shoes even more powerful, we have incorporated the Up Bar® concept into the RACE LIGHT.Borrowed from the Kiprun (road running) range, this technology optimises running propulsion and energy response by stiffening both of these contact points without hindering foot motion.Specially designed in collaboration with podiatrists, this plate takes the shape of a raised ridge running along the RACE LIGHT sole, allowing a natural stride while yielding unbeatable performance.

Designed to be worn on races of 0 to 40 km, or up to 3 hours in duration, as well as for training sessions, the RACE LIGHT trail running shoes stay firmly in place. Our RACE LIGHT trail running shoes were tested on an ultra-demanding playground: Reunion Island.As to the testers, we selected trail runners with an ITRA rating above 700: The result? the RACE LIGHT model was truly put through its paces!"I made them run flat out several times around a 2.5 km circuit in particular, it was hard!" recounts Thierry BREUIL, former elite trail runner and product manager on this shoe.
A NEW LACE POCKET...
Regarding the lacing, we spent a lot of time working on how to improve the lace storage system.The benefit of securing the laces in a pocket is simply to prevent them from coming loose or catching on branches or undergrowth. What is the special feature of this strong stretch pocket? Rather than opening from the top, it opens from the bottom at the front the shoe. Consequently, the laces are more evenly spread inside the pocket.
