Our Rockrider mountain bikes are put to the test by real riders for a final sign off after robust lab testing of all the component parts.
Lab testing
We put our mountain bikes through their paces in the lab to make sure they are technically sound and ready to ride with pressure tests for braking power, carbon frame strength, and suspension.
Tested by riders
Our Rockrider engineers work with real riders to test all of our products in real conditions on xc mountain bike trails ensuring the bike ticks all the boxes from manouverability to braking power.

Correct adjustment
Even with regular maintenance, it's common for some components to wear over time. Most bike repairs are relatively easy, so it's useful to have a few key tools so you can get back to riding again quickly. It's important to note that your bike's equipment (drivetrain, brakes, etc.) will move around during the first few months of use. Please contact your nearest Decathlon store's workshop to have your bike correctly adjusted.

Running in your brakes
When a bike leaves the store, the pads and discs are new and the brake performance is reduced. Continuous braking (in descent), can lead to overheating and "glazing" of the pads. That's why we recommend you break them in with a dozen brake applications (with a deceleration from 25 to 5km/h, without blocking the wheel, using only one brake at a time). If brake pads do become glazed (smooth and shiny) you can sand them lightly with fine sandpaper. Re-assemble your pads and give them a new run-in.

Control. Personalise. Measure.
SRAM has developed a mobile app to help you configure, measure, control and customise your AXS components, helping riders better understand and improve their experience on the bike. Connect your components via Bluetooth access your ride's data. You can also create multiple bike profiles (if you share your bike, have multiple bikes, or want to change settings based on your ride), as well as monitor the performance and condition of your bike and its components. Download the app here.
Maintaining your bike
The maintenance of your bike is essential to extend the life of its components so you can enjoy your bike for longer. We recommend you give your bike a good wash in clean water after each use to remove any dirt and mud. After washing, rub with a dry cloth to remove all traces of moisture. Lubricate the drivetrain and store the bike in a cool, dry place away from corrosive products and salty air.
