Design details

Can it be carried in the cabin?
Each airline sets its own regulations on the size and weight of baggage allowed. Nevertheless, here are a few examples: -for Air France, this bag is equivalent to a large piece of hand luggage (max. dimensions: 55 x 35 x 25 cm), as with Ryanair (max. dimensions: 55 x 40 x 20 cm) -on easyJet, it will not be considered as small hand luggage (maximum dimensions: 45 x 36 x 20 cm) We therefore encourage you to read the companies’ rules carefully beforehand.
Bag compartmentalisation
On the compartments side, you have: -a large central pocket (with a small zipped pocket inside and a secondary pocket that can hold a computer or water pouch - not included) -a secondary pocket with mesh divider -a smaller front pocket
It’s possible to accessorise this bag!
To add a personal touch, you can add a patch: there is a 7 cm high, 5 cm wide rip-tab fastening on the front of the bag.
The X-Access concept: what is it all about?
This backpack is X-ACCESS compatible thanks to the two horizontal straps (MOLLE webbing straps) located on the front compartment. In practical terms, this means that X-Access-compatible accessories and pouches can be attached to them, to carry even more equipment or to provide very quick access to a particular piece of equipment. Examples of compatible pockets: reference 8826785 (vertical soft pouch edc size s) or reference 8826786 (horizontal soft pouch edc size m).
Bag dimensions and volume
49 cm height 27.9 cm width 26.5 cm total depth 15 cm depth for the main compartment. 4.5 cm deep front pocket Volume: 30 L The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we then empty the balls into a graduated container which then displays the equivalent volume in litres. We then empty the balls into a graduated container, which gives us the equivalent volume in litres, with a tolerance of a few percents
Carrying comfort
Throughout the development process of this model, carrying comfort was a key concern: you have 10 mm thick PE foam in the shoulder straps, and 10 mm thick PE/PU foam in the shoulders and lower back. As for the chest strap, it’s elasticated and height-adjustable to suit your chest size. This also prevents the shoulder straps from falling to the sides when the bag is fully loaded.
Laboratory tests: the data
This bag has been tested on several major strengths: -handle tensile strength test: >80 kg -strap tensile strength test: >80 kg -tensile strength test of MOLLE loops: >80 kg It has also undergone the “jerk” test. This causes 35,000 shaking cycles on the shoulder straps and handle. Result: at the end of the cycles, and with a bag loaded to 14.9 kg, these elements are still functional.
A few words about the components used
The bottom of the bag is in 1600 denier. The body of the bag is made from 600 denier. The linings are 75 denier. The greater the denier, the more resistant the fabric (but the heavier it is). So it’s a question of compromise. On this model, we’ve chosen to put strength in strategic places, while keeping the overall weight down. All in all, this bag is resistant to rubbing and abrasion, giving it a significant lifespan.
Other strengths of this model
The fabric has a water-repellent coating: if it rains lightly, the drops will slide off. Beware though, in the event of heavy rain it is not waterproof. On the outside, 2 water bottle pockets with elastic are present. A few centimetres above, 1 strap is fitted: it can be used to carry long objects (such as tripods). For example, you slip the tripod legs into the water bottle pocket and the strap secures the whole thing.
