You are an intermediate surfer
You regularly go surfing. During your sessions, you paddle out to the line-up, duck dive under the breaking waves if you are on a shortboard, or turtle roll if you are on a longboard, then surf waves of less than one metre. You often fall and are used to being shaken about underwater. Your swimsuit must meet the requirements of your activity and stay in place for each of your movements. We have designed a range for you that is suited to regular activity and your body shape.
Water sports swimsuit
Whether you be a surfer or enjoy bathing in the sea, you don’t want to lose your swimsuit! This is why we test all our swimsuits in the waves. Each model is designed for surfing and perfectly suits other water sports: stand up paddle boarding, sailing, kite surfing, bathing, etc.
Regular briefs
ALY briefs were created for women looking for classic bikini bottoms with medium coverage while remaining feminine. Our garment designer gave them very thin edges at the sides to reveal the thigh and visually lengthen the leg.
Stays in place in the waves
We design swimsuits that promise to stay in place in the waves. To test them, we use a panel of female surfers with different body shapes who follow a test protocol in a pool at our design offices in Hendaye, South-West France. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by surfers when being thrown around by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing in the sea to test our swimwear in real conditions.
Comfortable swimsuit
Our work centres on helping women to feel good in our swimsuits. The bust is not flattened, the bottoms don’t dig in, and the level of coverage varies. Our mission is to ensure that every woman can find a swimming costume that suits her body, whatever her shape or size.
No more plastic stickers
From 2022, all women’s swimsuits designed by Decathlon will be sold without plastic hygiene stickers. This responsible decision was made to help protect our planet and reduce plastic use. saving 940 km of plastic every year! Please do your bit by always keeping your underwear on in our changing rooms.
Dry sizing and wet sizing
To ensure a perfect fit in the water, it is important to choose the right size while you are dry because once they are in the water, swimsuits become looser. We therefore recommend you buy the correct size. The swimsuit needs to fit snugly against your body in the fitting room, and you should feel supported. The elastane content in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.
