What is the inner tent height and surface area of the living area?
8 m² living area with a 2.4m roof height. 4 windows in the walls for adjustable light and good ventilation. Zipped groundsheet for added protection.
How do I set up/take down my tailgate tent?
Pole structure. The colour codes are there to help you. The coloured poles are inserted into their respective sleeves. Adjustable straps and drawstrings for perfect connection to the vehicle. We recommend that 2 people pitch the tent. It's easy to disconnect and leave your tent behind for the day.
Which vehicles is this tent compatible with?
Thanks to its mounting system, this tent is compatible with 100% of cars and most vans with a rear opening (doors or tailgate) between 1.50 and 2 m high. Practical: the tent stays in place even when you leave with your vehicle, so you can keep your living space on the campsite.
Is this tent fully waterproof?
To check that it is waterproof, the tent was placed for three hours under a 200L shower of water per hour, equivalent to a tropical shower of 200mm per hour. The flysheet is made from 2,000mm Schmerber PU coated polyester and all seams are sealed with thermobonded tape.
Is this tent windproof?
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity. Properly pitched, with the guy ropes deployed, this tent remains habitable in wind speed 6, measured at 50km/h.
What ventilation systems does the tailgate tent have?
Two openings equipped with mosquito nets placed opposite each other. They provide good ventilation to the living area whilst also protecting you from insects.
Does the tent provide protection from the sun?
The Ti0² coated Fresh fabric has a UPF of 50+. Caution: A large amount of UV rays can pass through an open door. Protect your skin with sunscreen.
How do I look after my tailgate tent?
Our camping tents have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year). These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. Continuous exposure to UV rays can damage the fabric section. To ensure the optimal lifespan of your tent, it’s important to store it in a dry place when not in use.
