The Quechua camping range is developed in our design centre in the foot of Mont-Blanc in the French Alps. We consult camping enthusiasts to add practical features and carry out product testing.
Wind tunnel testing
This living room base has been tested in a simulated “wind tunnel”. It’s pitched on a turntable to expose each side to strong wind. This test shows us that the base will still be habitable in wind speeds up to 50 km/h.
Rain testing
In the laboratory, we’ve checked that this base can withstand 3 hours of rain, using 200 litres of water per hour per m² (the equivalent of a tropical rainfall).
Field testing
Our panel of customers, ambassadors and engineers has tested the base in real conditions - including heavy rain - to double-check its resilience against wind and water.
