The Abus Battery Lock IT2.1 Xplus was developed specifically for use with the Bosch PowerTube BBP2xx. The lock must be operated to insert the PowerTube, reliably securing the battery against unauthorised access. The X-Plus cylinder provides extremely high protection against manipulation such as picking. The lock weighs 108 g. Abus has stood for security since 1924: the company was founded in Volmarstein and is still managed by the Bremicker family in its fourth generation.
