First of all, this essential oil is photosensitizing, which means it can increase skin sensitivity to the sun. So avoid applying it directly to the skin before exposure to the sun or UV radiation, as this may cause skin irritation. We recommend diluting the essential oil in a carrier oil before topical use. We recommend performing a skin sensitivity test by diluting a small amount of essential oil and applying it to a small area of skin before using it more widely. If redness, itching or any adverse reaction occurs, stop using the essential oil immediately. It is advisable to consult a health professional before using bergamot essential oil on pregnant women, young children and people with particular health problems or taking specific medications.
