Design and materials The Beal Booster III is a 9.7 mm dynamic single rope, 70 m long, with a Dry Cover treated sheath and Unicore process. Its structure combines a resilient core and a thermofixed sheath to provide excellent wear resistance while maintaining flexibility and fluidity.
Performance and safety With an impact force of 7.3 kN and a guaranteed number of falls factor 1 of 8, this rope offers a good compromise between energy absorption and resistance. It is suitable for demanding uses, including vertical climbing routes and intensive mountain sessions.
Manageability and weight Weighing 61 g/m, the Booster III is compact, fluid, and extra light, making it easier to pass through belay devices and reducing fatigue during handling and long routes.
Technical treatments The Dry Cover improves the durability of the sheath against moisture and abrasions, while Thermo Fluid stabilizes the fibers for a more homogeneous sheath. The Unicore process keeps the core bonded to the sheath in case of deterioration, increasing overall safety.
Recommended use Designed for highly skilled climbers, the rope is intended for intensive climbing and mountaineering. Its thinness makes it suitable for technical routes and climbers seeking lightness and performance; it is not recommended for beginners without adjustment of belaying technique.
