Holmenkol Racing Black Bar Yellow—for warm conditions
Yellow covers snow temperatures from 0 to -4 degrees, meaning fine to coarse-grained as well as wet snow. If it gets colder, go with Red (-4 to -10 degrees) or Blue (-8 to -15 degrees). In borderline conditions, the snow is the deciding factor, not the air temperature: Always measure in the snow, not in the sun.
Here’s how to use it
Clean the base, apply the wax by ironing at 115 to 125 degrees, let it cool, peel it off, and brush it out with a nylon and horsehair brush. Depending on the application thickness, a 150-g bar is enough for about 15 to 25 pairs of alpine skis.
