Light performance
The Fenix HP16R combines a Luminus SST40 LED for a powerful spot and a Cree XP-G3 S4 for a more neutral, even flood. The two beams can be used together or separately to tailor illumination to your activity (mountaineering, search, hiking, MTB). The combination provides long throw and wide coverage for close-up tasks.
Battery and charging
The headlamp is supplied with a 3000 mAh Li-polymer battery for extended runtime, while remaining compatible with 4×AA cells as a backup. The battery pack features a USB Type-C port supporting 2A fast charging (full charge in ~3 hours), making field recharging easy.
Construction and durability
Built from aluminium and high-quality plastic, the separated lamp/battery system helps balance on the head and provides effective heat dissipation. The IP66 rating protects against dust and powerful water jets, suitable for demanding outdoor conditions.
Ergonomics and safety
The HP16R offers dual independent controls, a lockout function to avoid accidental switch-on and a 60° tilt mechanism to precisely aim the beam.
