The Ksyrium has always represented the best of aluminium wheel technology. Following in the footsteps of the venerable Ksyrium Elite and Ksyrium Pro, the all-new Ksyrium SL Disc lives up to this standard. If you're looking for a pair of aluminium wheels for weekend races and training miles, wherever the road takes you, this is your best choice. This new wheel is super light (120 g less than the old Ksyrium Elite UST Disc) and more durable than ever thanks to our patented ISM4D technology. This manufacturing process removes excess material between each spoke hole while keeping the rim wall thick enough where tension and stress from the spokes are highest. These rims are made in France, in our aluminium rim factory. The double-butted spokes help reduce weight while making the wheel more responsive. These spokes also have a patented elliptical shape that saves 5 watts for improved efficiency. Stiffness is optimised thanks to Fore technology. The upper bridge is not drilled, remaining solid and rigid, eliminating the need for rim tape (an additional saving of 30 g per wheel). The new rim bed shape makes mounting and removing tyres easier than ever, and our UST Tubeless technology improves rolling resistance and grip while reducing the risk of punctures. Our new Infinity hub platform optimises stiffness and power transfer with highly controlled spoke tension, while an Instant Drive 360 freewheel combined with our automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto) offers quick engagement and great longevity. Specifically designed for disc brakes, the wheels are compatible with a 12x100 axle at the front and 12x142 at the back and can be converted to Quick Release with adapters. For Center Lock discs only. They are available for Shimano or Sram XD-Road cassettes and can be converted for Campagnolo with an optional freehub body.
