This top-quality Pessoa double-break 3 ring bit is made of solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings. Cuprigan is an alloy composed of 89% copper, 7% aluminium, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The material's oxidation process spreads a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse's mouth, creating a gentle, even pressure distribution. The combination of Cuprigan's design and unique composition help stimulate chewing and salivation, resulting in a delicate bond with the horse's sensitive mouth. The bit has a normal action in the mouth and is suitable for horses with a hard mouth. The thickness of the canon is 12 mm and the diameter of the middle bit washers is 70 mm. This Pessoa ring bit has an additional ring at the top and bottom. When the uprights are attached to the top rings and the reins to the middle or bottom rings, this creates leverage. The lower the reins, the greater the leverage. The middle and lower rings can be connected by Pelham rings. On a double snaffle bit, the canon is in three parts. The central part of the canon lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single ring bit. The thicker the central part, the greater the pressure on the tongue.
