Its carbon rim, designed with Mavic's expertise, optimizes the orientation of the fibers according to the actual terrain stresses: the result is a lively and precise wheel that remains forgiving to maintain comfort and control on technical sections. Tubeless compatibility allows for a lower pressure, improving grip, comfort, and control while reducing the risk of punctures. Paired with the Mavic hub and built for durability, it provides efficient power transfer and simplified maintenance. Positioned between a competition-type wheel and an aluminium option, the Crossmax S Carbon is the perfect choice for transitioning to carbon without losing versatility. Adaptive Layup: Strong in certain areas, light everywhere else The Adaptive Layup technology allows for precise adjustment of the carbon layering according to the areas of the rim. The fibers are reinforced where the stresses are greatest and lightened elsewhere to offer the best balance between lightness, stiffness, and reliability. This design reduces the wheel's inertia while maintaining excellent sturdiness, leading to more effective acceleration and more precise handling. Up to 70 g saved per rim. The result: snappier accelerations, better control, and less fatigue on long rides. ID 360: A simple, efficient, and reliable freehub system that is also easy to maintain. The ID360 freehub system uses a dual ratchet mechanism to ensure quick engagement and a direct transfer of effort with each pedal stroke. Available in a 24-tooth configuration to limit friction or 40 teeth for faster engagement, the ID360 combines efficiency, reliability, and ease of maintenance. Its design allows for simple and quick maintenance without tools, even after numerous rides in demanding conditions. Improved responsiveness The designed Infinity hub optimizes the lateral stiffness of the wheel and ensures uniform spoke tension. Its design allows the use of a single spoke length across the wheelset, making maintenance and spoke replacement easier.
