The Maxxis SHORTY 29x2.40 WT Downhill 2-Ply Butyl 3C MaxxGrip folding tire is designed to handle varying conditions; it performs particularly well on loose to muddy terrain. In this Wide Trail (WT) version, it is optimized for rims 30 to 35 mm wide. It is also tubeless ready. Ultra-robust thanks to its reinforced Dual Ply casing, and with a larger volume than the Wet Scream, the MAXXIS Shorty features wide, slightly offset side knobs that provide excellent stability in corners, even at high speeds.
The tread pattern, with its widely spaced knobs, ensures efficient evacuation of stones and mud while guaranteeing powerful braking thanks to its square shape. It is also equipped with the MaxxGrip triple compound rubber blend, which offers the optimal combination of rebound and grip for very high-level performance.
