The GX Eagle chain was designed according to the SRAM Eagle geometry and features full pins, Eagle PowerLock and offers smooth, efficient shifting that you can rely on every time you ride.Although many think it's just an insignificant part of the drivetrain, the GX Eagle™ chain is the heart of the drivetrain system. It is the chain links designed according to the SRAM Eagle™ geometry that make the massive gear range of 500% possible. In fact, the Eagle™ rear derailleur, the chainrings, the cassette and even the gearshift were developed to work perfectly with the chain. Anything else would be a compromise in terms of performance, reliability and durability.SRAM Eagle™ drivetrains are the only 1x drivetrains that have been designed and developed as a complete system. This guarantees optimum performance. The Eagle™ drivetrains have been developed with a goal that they have proven to achieve: To be the lightest and most durable high-performance drivetrain system for all riders and every trail.Eagle™ technology offers an optimized, expanded gear range that allows you to use your bike to its full potential where you couldn't before.Every SRAM GX Eagle™ component is 100% compatible with all other SRAM Eagle™ drivetrain components. This is Eagle™.Innovative Eagle™ X01 chain link with FLOW LINK™ technology for better chain guidance and longer running performance. The unique design and special details have significantly reduced wear on the cassette and chainring. The GX Eagle™ chain has the same chain link geometry and was manufactured using the same processes as the XX1 and X01 Eagle™ chains. This also makes it the ideal replacement chain for XX1 and X01 riders.Flow Link™:The ultra-smooth inner plates of the chain are completely free of edges. This reduces friction on the cassette and chainring. The result: low-noise performance and a longer component service life. The chain design enables a narrower profile. This makes the chain more torsion-resistant. Thanks to its smoother outer plates, the riveting is more even and the tensile strength is higher.PowerLock®:SRAM's chain engineers developed PowerLock® as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect SRAM chains. Although PowerLock® does not require any special tools for installation, the narrow tolerance range of a 10-, 11- and 12-speed drivetrain means that each PowerLock® can only be used once.X-Sync 2™:X-Sync 2™ Eagle is the latest development in SRAM X-Sync™ technology. The tooth profile of the chainring increases chain tension and efficiency when pedaling. The service life of the chainring is longer, as the X-Sync™ Eagle technology reduces friction and contamination.Technical dataNumber of links: 126Closure type: PowerLock™Rivet type: solidDirection of rotation: No (chain), Yes (chain lock)Recommended groupsets: SRAM GX EagleMaterial: Steel
