The wide EE fit is particularly beneficial when more room is needed in the forefoot, yet the shoe still needs to fit snugly on the foot. In hockey, this makes a noticeable difference: a proper fit supports power transfer during push-offs, provides greater stability during quick changes of direction, and helps maintain a consistent skating feel even during extended periods on the ice. For club players and ambitious recreational players, this is a key factor when choosing the right skate. When it comes to ice hockey skates, it’s worth taking a close look at length and width, as skate size, SR size, and foot shape should all match.
