The tendons of horses are extremely fragile and prone to injuries. However, tendon protectors often stay too hot, or are too tight. We understand how important it is for the fit to be protective while remaining comfortable for the horse. Discover our internally developed XO2-Boot, available in several elegant CLX colours! An innovative design, backed by thorough research on the horse's leg anatomy and made using a unique mould developed by BR. The result is a must-have tendon protector that offers the best protection, absorbs shocks, and keeps the horse's leg as cool as possible.
Product Features: Form follows function Based on the principle that 'form follows function,' the tendon protector CLX XO2 provides your horse with perfect protection without compromising on comfort. The tendon protector fits the horse's leg perfectly and covers only where necessary. The shell is slightly thicker at the back and on the sides of the fetlock, to best protect the horse's leg in these important areas. Exterior: The unique feature of the shell is that it has an anatomical shape that adapts to the horse's leg, perfectly following its contours. The unique shape of the shell offers protection where needed, but it is also lighter than other tendon protectors: up to 10% lighter! Your horse retains perfect freedom of movement and is never hindered by the tendon protectors. The shell is hard for good protection but at the same time extremely flexible to fit the shape of the horse's leg well. Strategically placed ventilation holes ensure that the tendon does not overheat. Lining: The protector is lined with our specially developed Air Liner, a thermoformed lining made of a material that provides optimal properties. The lining further absorbs shocks, thanks to the air present in the spaces created by the material due to its composition. During an impact or shock, the air escapes through the extremely breathable lining and through the ventilation holes. Your horse is thus perfectly protected against impacts. Fastenings: It is also very important for tendon protectors to be equipped with suitable fastenings. If the tendon protector is too loose, it can cause irritation, but if it is too tight, it can obstruct blood circulation. The fastening straps are slightly elastic and equipped with a self-adhesive system, so that the tendon protector can always be positioned correctly and adjusted well. With the rounded shape of the shell, they have a streamlined look and fit the horse's leg perfectly.
