The tendons of horses are extremely fragile and prone to injuries. However, tendon protectors often get too hot or are too tight. We know how important it is for the fit to be protective while still being comfortable for the horse. Discover our XO2-Boot developed in-house! An innovative design, backed by thorough research on horse leg anatomy and created using a unique mold developed by BR. The result is an essential tendon protector that provides optimal protection, absorbs shocks, and keeps the horse's leg as cool as possible. Product features: The function dictates the form (form follows function) Based on the principle that 'the function dictates the form,' the XO2 tendon protector offers your horse perfect protection without compromising on comfort. The protector fits the horse's leg perfectly and covers only where necessary. The shell is slightly thicker at the back and on the sides of the fetlock, to provide the best protection in these crucial areas. Exterior: The unique feature of the shell is its anatomical shape that adapts to the horse's leg, perfectly following its contours. The shell's unique shape offers protection where needed, and it is also lighter than other tendon protectors: up to 10% lighter! This allows your horse to maintain perfect freedom of movement and ensures it is never hindered by the tendon protectors. The shell is hard for good protection, but at the same time, it is extremely flexible to fit the shape of the horse's leg well. Strategically placed ventilation holes ensure that the tendon does not overheat. Liner: The protector is lined with our specially developed Air Liner, a thermoformed liner made from a material that gives it optimal properties. The liner further cushions shocks due to the air present in the spaces created by the material, thanks to its composition. During an impact or shock, the air escapes through the extremely breathable liner and the ventilation holes. Your horse is thus fully protected against impacts. Fastenings: It is also very important that the tendon protectors are equipped with suitable fastenings. If the protector is too loose, it can cause irritation, but if it is too tight, it can restrict blood circulation. The fastening straps are slightly elastic and feature a hook-and-loop system, ensuring that the protector can always be placed in the correct position and properly adjusted. With the rounded shell, they have a streamlined look and fit the horse's leg perfectly.
