Weighted Vest - 20 kg
The perfect Weighted Vest from the specialized fitness brand Muscle Power
Sold and shipped by Sporttrader
This 20 kg weighted vest from Muscle Power has 19 removable weights that you can add or remove to customize your ideal load. The pockets for these weights are evenly distributed across the front and back of the vest, allowing you to easily maintain balance. You hang the weighted vest over your shoulders and then fasten it with a strap that runs across your chest and back. This strap ensures the vest does not move during exercises. The vest is quite short and will not get in the way of the abdominal muscles for most people.
A weighted vest is used to add a bit of extra load to your training and in this way improve muscle performance. The vest forms an additional obstacle during exercises, causing you to work harder and burn more energy. The applications of a weighted vest are very broad. Think for example of walking, jogging, skipping rope, strength training, and core training. But whatever exercise you do, start light and build up slowly. Overloading your body too quickly can easily cause injuries.
Training with a weighted vest can help you achieve your fitness goals • Burn calories: the extra weight increases the intensity of your training. Your body has to work harder to complete an exercise and burns more calories. • Train strength and endurance: you use not only more energy with a weighted vest but also more strength and oxygen. The muscles adapt to the higher weight, and your body gets used to increased oxygen use. • Increase speed: by training a muscle with a handicap, you can raise the maximum performance of that muscle. You can use this principle to increase your maximum speed. • Develop stronger muscles and bones: if you train with a weighted vest for a longer period, your body adapts to the extra weight. Bones and muscles become thicker and stronger to support the vest.
