This revolutionary 8-strand braid (7 strands of Dyneema and 1 strand of Gore) combines the performance of GORE with the mastery of 8-strand braiding technology from SUFIX. This precision construction produces a perfectly round and even braid, and improves both tensile and knot strength. GORE fibers are made from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). PTFE is an inert material, insensitive to salt water, all chemicals and UV rays. The GORE has a very low coefficient of friction which gives this braid superior abrasion resistance, reduced noise and vibration and, of course, enhanced throwing performance.
